毛虫 (Kemushi) is a dreamy, bemusing little rap inspired by long summer days in too much sun, uncomfortable things to not always want to think about, and being grouchy but still kind of affable.
The beat is by @RiceMasterJens from Europe (probably?) and this version of the song was released on Bandcamp and streaming sites as part of the Magermilch double single like a million years ago, which was also part of the Patreon-supported Rap Hundreds series.
The list of names at the very end is all of Jesse's current Patreon supporters, isn't that wonderful? You can help sustain this music, too - hit up https://patreon.com/rljd if you're so inclined, or just pledge to this Substack in case I ever turn it into a subscription I guess.
All the filming was filmed in Montreal, Quebec, by Nicolas Carrier.
Rosie Toes and Emily Comeau hung out and you can kind of peep them in a couple shots.
All of the editing was edited by Lizard Grove.
Here also are the lyrics, for search engine optimization!
